Excellent location close to shops, restaurants and local parks. This is also a dog friendly hotel which is great! A doggy bowl was provided but I brought a doggy bed. Chose a single room which was cosy and adequate for 1. I had a a very peaceful night's sleep and the bed, although single, was very comfy! The only downside was that the room was located on the 3rd floor with no lifts available, so next time I will definitely choose differently! In addition, the car park was full when I arrived, but I was able to park directly in front for a £10 fee for a parking permit which was valid for over a week. Unfortunately, parking can be difficult in Clifton Village, so I did not mind. I will definitely be returning for the location especially.

The room was lovely and clean, the bathroom was spacious with a great shower. Mostly, the staff were very attentive and kind! I had left my AirPods behind and they were so quick to help get them back to me. Greatly appreciated! Would definitely stay again, Rebecca

On arrival, reception was very good. Our room was on the second floor, it was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the tea and coffee making was also very good. The breakfast was a little bewildering. 5 or 6 girls running around trying to service the dining room. None knew exactly what to do specifically. Hot food wasnt replenished regularly enough, fresh coffee kept running out. We were there as a couple, and asked if we wanted toast, on white or brown. All very good, but when it arrived, there were only one and a half slices between the two of us. Vegans in the room were tppld there were eggs for breakfast. Education on dietry requirements is a must nowadays. Breakfst was served between 0800 and 1000. People coming down for breakfast at 0940 were told the chef had finished cooking. This isnt good enough really. Maybe staff having specific tasks for breakfast service might aid the customer experience. ie, table clearing and re setting. Hot food replenishment, cold food and milk station. Coffee and tea station. Customer requirements. Just ideas that might improve customer experience.

Lovely hotel. The staff have been extremely helpful and gone above and beyond. Francesca at reception has been truly exemplary, and we are hugely appreciative of how she helped with our stay. Would highly recommend

Great location. Room was spacious but dated. Bed was huge and very comfy. Breakfast was a disappointment - told to pre-order to ensure food comes out quickly. We booked for 9:20am, it took 35minutes for one slice of toast to come out and a further 10minutes for our cooked breakfast. It wasn’t busy, just us and two other tables occupied - they also waited a long time for food and ended up asking where it was!

The hotel is very cosy and superbly located. It is in Clifton village so close to some lovely cafés, restaurants and shops. It is also a short walk away from Clifton Bridge. There's a bus stop just outside the hotel and you can easily get the bus into town and to the train station. The staff are friendly and accomodating. I hope to return to this hotel

Service excellent - they called us to check details on the day and were easy to deal with. There were steps, up to room and even to reception, but the staircases are original and attractive. Rooms are in two buildings. We had three rooms in the second. Rooms were all different sizes and shapes and were very warm at night – we had to open the window - and ours had one chair for the two of us. Buildings eerily silent and there was nowhere communal to sit in the second building which rather dampened the atmosphere. Whole hotel very clean and rooms were fully refreshed each day which was lovely. Car park very tight AND COSTS EXTRA, easily disrupted by people who have oversized vehicles or park awkwardly. Parking on some nearby streets restricted with residents permits but the hotel has some of these as a backup. Park across road is nice – scattering of mature trees and lots of opportunity to people-watch with local dogwalkers and the constant trickle of university students passing. We had a picnic there and an hour after breakfast. Local area nice too – the independent shops in the village and the park overlooking the suspension bridge.

My stay at the Victoria Square hotel was comfortable. My room had a double bed with en-suite. The TV is tiny but worked. The hotel was clean and all the staff were friendly. My stay included a buffet breakfast which was very good. A walk into town is approx 10 minutes.
